友和道通货运航空公司基地及航空物流园项目建设投资估算总额为人民币3.4亿元。包括货物处理区、飞行保障区、辅助功能区、运转场地及配套设施。共分两期规划建设：一期规划占地面积258亩。规划建设以货物处理区为主的项目，包括国内货物处理区、国际货物处理区、货物运转区、联检办公楼以及生活辅助设施。二期规划占地面积242亩。充分拓展航空物流基地的飞行保障功能。规划建设的项目包括：飞机机库、航空器材库、教学训练中心等。
该公司拟发挥自己在货运航空方面的营运优势，通过架通武汉、沟通华中、辐射全国，联结欧美、中东、日韩等，建立起以武汉黄陂天河为中心的航空及陆路分拨中心、并全力引进目前与该公司紧密合作，排名世界前10位的DHL、PANALPINA、NIPPON、EXEL等国际知名物流商进驻拟筹建的物流园区，协助武汉天河临空经济区构建立体型、多功能、现代化的综合物流体系，全面改善物流环境，项目的建设预期将吸引更多的投资商纷至沓来，增强华中临空经济区的产业集聚能力，从根本上加快临空经济区的航空货运基础设施建设。通过高标准、高起点规划，逐步将航空货运基地、航空物流园项目建设成设计先进、布局合理、设施齐全、功能配套、流程科学的现代航空物流基地，提升中部地区航空货运业的整体素质。友和道通项目的实施，是武汉华中临空经济区建设一项具有指标意义的大事，也是黄陂区加快临空经济强区建设的重要标志，必将对华中临空经济区的建设和发展产生深远影响。
